MIRIAM

ADAMSS Centre is the prosecution of MIRIAM (MIlan Research center for Industrial and Applied Mathematics) experience.

The MIRIAM Centre has evolved from a long term experience in applying modern mathematical methods to real problems in Industry and in the Applied Sciences. The activity has increasingly involved researchers from both University and Industry.

MIRIAM has been established at the University of Milan with the financial support of a number of associated Industries.

MIRIAM was a node of ECMI (European Consortium for Mathematics in Industry).

The specific objectives of the MIRIAM Centre included
  • the formulation and analysis of mathematical and statistical models for natural and artificial complex systems for scientific and industrial interests
  • mathematical modeling, computational methods and visualization to develop and understand the behavior of such systems
  • defining strategies for the management and control of complex systems by mathematical models in industrial, financial and services' problems
  • interdisciplinary training
